The basic fee for trademark registration in one class is about $380. For each additional Nice Classification class up to the fifth (inclusive), an extra fee of $38 is added. Starting from the sixth class the extra fee becomes $55 per class.

Refusal of registration (office actions) can often be overcome even at the stage of examination in Rospatent if you respond to the notice in time. Nevertheless, I often face clients who lost their trademark because their previous representative did not inform them about such a notice and did nothing.
When submitting an application, I make sure that Rospatent sends all notifications (in Russian) about the status change of the application not only to me but also to you. You will always know at what stage your application is, and you will immediately find out about any incoming requests. This information is also duplicated in my personal account on the Rospatent website, so no important document will be ever lost.

WHAT IS A TRADEMARK?
A trademark can be a word, a phrase, a picture, graphic, a combination of text and graphics, a slogan, a label, etc. A trademark is registered under specific classes of the Nice Classification (ICGS), representing goods and services. They must be carefully chosen before filing an application.

Registration period
~6-9 months, but deviations in either direction are possible
It can take up to a year to register a trademark, but on the day you file your application, you secure a priority date. After that date your competitors will no longer be able to register your brand in their name. But if they beat you to it by even a day, your trademark will no longer be registered.
